A few days ago I fenced off part of the pasture here for the birds. This morning it was pouring when I let the birds out of the coop but I opened the gate to their pasture area. Except for the chickens, nobody else has gone out there unless I'm there. I went out to check on them an hour later and much to my surprise found this.








Everyone except one of my chickens was out there.

Thanks! I am so happy to be in a place where they can act more like ducks, chickens and geese then my last birds were able to in my backyard. Now, I'm waiting for eggs.

It was getting pretty brown here a few weeks back but we've been getting rain at least every other day since. I know that we are lucky to have it.

Thanks Miss Lydia. If not for the heat, I think I would be sitting out there all day with them.

I'm going to start looking for clearance lawn furniture that I can set up maybe outside of the fence but probably inside.

I love to see birds free to forage it is just so peaceful as long as you can keep the critters away from them.
