Leaves for Bedding

All the leaves in my yard and the little amount of money in my pocket have got me thinking. Has anyone ever used leaves as shavings/bedding? If so how do you?

i have leaves in my pen from the trees it makes a pretty good bedding but it does eventually break down and wont absorb anything i always rake out the old leaves every winter and spring are u planning on using it in the hen house or in the run personally i would use a dirt floor and rake over it every now and then to get the poop out

Dirt floor is much easier to manage
