Leaves in Coop

My chickens LOVE to get fresh bedding but it's because I'm using chopped straw and it always has some wheat kernels left in it. They want nothing to do with the scary black bag when it visits but once the job is done, they rush in to scratch through the fresh bedding. The leaves in the run, OTOH, they act like it's sooooo scary to have a new pile appear. I used to have an EE that would run to climb the pile so she could scratch through it looking for insects and raked up bits of greens. Now that she's gone, nobody likes the pile. They do eventually get over themselves (scratch helps) and get the leaves spread around.

I started watching his channel a couple years ago. Besides gardening he's also a decent cook. I've made his recipe for Beef Enchiladas more than once! The dish was really good.
