They are a little over 4 weeks old and I'm in south so it's warm. I've left them out all day before but I was home. Today I'm not in the home office so it's a little nerve wracking. They are in their brooder and it's super secure on my back porch but I need some calming thoughts because I'll be worried all day!

Hey there - I know the feeling when you put out new chicks for the first time or two. It can be scary. Don't worry. If your chicks are secure on your back porch they will be just fine provided they have access to both food and water. They will be waiting happily for you when you get home this afternoon. Perhaps you could take your lunch hour and go check on them if work isn't too far away.

Thanks! I'm already worrying about when they go in the coop full time. It's so easy for them to worm their way in your heart isn't it?! They do have access to Food and water so if the little monsters don't knock the water over they will be good! I'll be conducting inspections all day over an hour away so checking in at lunch isn't possible
