I am curious about what chicken owners do when they need to go out of town? It may be for a weekend trip or a longer trip say a week or 2. Obviously when gone for a week or more finding someone to come look after them is necessary. I am wondering about weekend trips and if chickens are safe and okay to leave for that long? The coop is secure from predators and the food and water will be filled. However, in my case they would be inside the couple days gone. Just trying to figure out if I should find a chicken sitter or if they are self sufficient for this amount of time?
