I have 6 chics from about 7 to 8 weeks old. There are a few that by size seem like they should be older to me... I want to leave them in their hen house for the day . the weather is high 72 and low 63 by the time i get home to bring them back inside... I keep them in a bunny cage at night since it gets 60 and below... From what i read they cant or shouldnt be left under 65° till closer to jan when their age is 20 weeks plus... Ill take any advice yall can give me.

Considering their age, and how well-feathered they are in the photos, they should be fine at those temperatures.

I don't know where you read that, but it is wrong. They will be fine at temperatures much lower than 65, much sooner than 20 weeks. They would probably be fine if you put them out now, day and night, and left them there (assuming they have a roof, and a few walls to block wind.)

What temperature do they have at night in that cage?

I just took mine off heat about a week ago. They are 7 weeks and less feathered than yours. Its get 30-40 degrees at night here and they are fine. They all huddle up and stay warm in the coop. If you still have yours on heat at all, you can start taking the heat away so they get used to normal temp.

Considering their age and feathering, and the temperatures they are already used to, I would move them outside in the daytime now, and have their first night outside as soon as you have a night temperature predicted to be over 55 degrees.

They will probably be fine with 50 degrees after they've had about 3 nights outside, 45 degrees when they've been outside for a week, 32 degrees when they've been outside for two weeks, and absolutely any temperature when they've been outside for a month. (Those are estimates, because they might be fine with those temperatures even sooner.)

Thank you. I figured since they are use to inside temp that under 60 for sure was to chilly for them lol spoiled chic s
