Leaving Spurs on..is it okay?

I have one aggressive banty roo that liked to attack my DH, our mastiffs (yes that was quite a sight) and really tore up some hens, I removed his spurs and he has only had one aggressive incident since.

Okay; let's "play the game" instead of trying to be helpful and constructive. The simply elementary answer would be: NO; you do not need to remove the spurs from a rooster.
 
I have noticed my mature roos both "catch" their opposite leg with the spur once in a while, but it doesn't interfere or hurt them. I leave them on.
