I’m just putting my 11 week old chicks in the new coop. I’m new at this. I want to leave the windows and vent open..it’s been 80 as a low....hard wire on all. My question is..there is a lot of few on everything in the morning...I assume the coop will be damp inside...is this ok? I don’t have a pen yet and only free range them in the evenings when I’m home..I just worry about them in a damp coop.

Generally, you would want to prevent dampness in the coop because different bugs and things like earwigs like to stay in those sort of Places. If your coop is made of cedar (which is the wood used in most commercial chicken coops) you might want to find a way to prevent large amounts of moisture getting into the chicken coop because that type of wood is absorbent and could easily lead to mold growing in the wood of the coop. I would still leave the windows and vents open because they are always hot in the summer, their internal core temp is 104 degrees! Good luck!

Dew being ON the coop is not a concern. You need to leave all the vents open at this time of year. That will help with cross breezes and removing excess moisture.
Yes, the air is very damp and heavily saturated on cool summer nights. There is nothing to do for that. Just open everything up as much as you can.

Thankyou! This will be the first time they are outside at night alone... lol I probably won’t sleep!

At 11 weeks old, they are way overdue! I hope you have them outside already.
THEY will have a blast. Worry not. Sleep well. You will find very content chickens in the morning.

I have no issues. I only close them for a hurricane or really cold weather.

Thankyou so much!! I had such a hard time finding a coop..sent one back...finally found a good solid one locally. Now I just need a run. I live on Long Island NY...I know there are some backyard chick people out there but haven’t found them yet lol!
