I was gonna click two but I accidentally hit cast vote before I voted the second one 🤦‍♀️

We don’t have a lot of leftovers but when we do have them if chickens can eat it we give it to them. If it’s something good we will keep it and eat it for lunch or something the next day. But mostly we just give it to our pigs 😂

If it's something I made, I eat leftovers until it is gone. Might last for 3-4 meals.

Something big, like Thanksgiving turkey, I freeze as much as possible that night so that there aren't as many leftovers. Just the two of us, it can take a while to eat it all.

I really try not to throw food away. And by throw it away, I mean throw it in the compost.

Ok. Whats wrong with salad greens?

It just seems kind of wrong to feed my chickens leftover grilled chicken... but ok!
Nothing is wrong with either as long as it's a tiny amount.
The chicken is probably more nutritious than some lettuce is what I was saying.

I purposely cook enough so we have leftovers to take to work for lunch the next day. Even now that I work from home, lunch is last nights dinner. Tomorrow's lunch will be venison with onions and broccoli in gravy over pasta. Yum!

Oh my. Please please spend a few days reading through the emergency section of this site and you will see what happens when people feed too many treats.

You are not doing your bird any favors by feeding her what in this dish.

Treats take away from a balanced diet.
Age appropriate commercially made feed is formulated as a BALANCED complete diet for the birds.

Treats no matter what kind should never be more than 10% of a bird's daily diet.
10% is such a tiny amount... Think one spoonful size. What you have in that dish in front of this bird is enough to feed 20 birds a treat for one day.
She didn't eat it all. She only ate like 5 pieces and I gave the rest to the others
