I have a 3 week old chick that I just cut the leg band off of. I just noticed he had some swelling around his foot and saw that the band hadn't popped off. The band had grown his leg partway around. There was a little blood, and he's hobbling around now. Do I need to treat his little wound with anything? He's inside with 3 other chicks.
