Leg Band Wound - Time to heal?

oh I am so glad!!! Was checking mines leg bands just today.

I found my Biscuit today limping in the yard, I went to pick her up and seen that the sharp point of the plastic leg band has poked into her leg flesh. Today is the first time I noticed her limping. Checking it out I found that it had become infected. I cut off the band, and as soon as I removed the band it started seeping puss. I cleaned it as good as possible, and drenched the opening with hydrogen peroxide, removed her from the other chickens until she stops limping and until the opening is healed. I am now doing the hydrogen peroxide 3x per day to keep it clean, and I change Biscuits newspaper three times per day as well. For right now I have her in a dog crate, and tomorrow I will set up an area bigger than the dog crate.
