Leg Banding Kits

What do most of you use or do to band your baby chicks and ducks. I have so many hatching out, that it is hard to keep up with their hatch dates and parents. What do most of you do for this and where do you get it or them?

I think Murray McMurray has some spiral leg bands for chicks. Not sure about other places though.

I have a Randall Burkey catalog and they have several different types and prices. However, the shipping costs can add up. I don't know if TSC carries them or not.

I went to WalMart and bought the smallest child rubber hair bands and used those on my Wyandotte chicks in the spring. It worked great. They actually came in a pack of 3 sizes and the next bigger size worked for the Wyandottes from about 10 weeks on up into adulthood.
