Leg Bands for adult Button Quail

I was afraid zip ties would be too rough and scrape their feet. Are they safe? I'm also concerned that they would be dangerous to try to remove.

We use them just fine on our quail. I wouldn't hesitate to use small ones on button quail. Just be sure they are loose but not too loose. Zero problems and fingernail nail trimmers work great for removal with zero damage to the quail. Just clip the zip tie and it comes right off.

Zip ties aren’t too hard to remove and they don’t seem to hurt their feet.
