Why would you kill the embryo? You can tell if it's fertile or not by candling.

Yes. I mean incubatimg and candling and seeing that it's fertile. But then putting it in the fridge to kill the embryo because I don't want it to hatch. Not sure how people view this.

Okay... Are you planning to dissect it and see the development? If there's a reason for it, such as learning, then I don't see a problem. If you're doing it just to do it, I think you should have a bit more respect for life.

If you're just checking if the eggs *are* fertile, but don't actually want chicks, you can crack them open (without incubating first) and look for the fertilization spot. Search up images to know what to look for in fertile v infertile eggs.

No, you misunderstand. I plan to sell the fertilized eggs but want to make sure they are fertilized, so I want to incubate them for a few days to see if I can see blood vessels, then take them out of thr incubator.

The you're better off cracking them open before putting them in the incubator and checking for the "bullseye" that shows a fertile egg.
