Hello!! One of my hens (a year-old Novogen) has an obvious limp.

When we first noticed, she wouldn’t put any weight on it. A day later, she will walk with it, but tries not to put much weight on it. Her foot/leg are clear of any superficial injuries. They are much warmer than her other leg, though. I’m not quite sure if she landed wrong, or if it’s something more serious…. :(

Any advice?

I checked her leg, and didn't feel any cuts...

The thing is: she was walking completely fine, I went inside for a moment, came back out, and she refused to let her foot touch the ground. It's still in-socket. My younger brother is rough with animals in general, so it's entirely possible he could've accidentally made her land wrong. 😒 She is walking on it now, but still limping. I'm going to move her to a safer place with nothing to jump off of. Any advice would be super appreciated!!!

I would let her walk around some today to check how she is walking and to visit with her flock. It might be best to crate her in the evening overnight, and then check daily. Videos uploaded to YouTube or a similar site can be posted here.

That sounds awesome! Luckily we have quite a few spare crates. I'll update if anything else changes. Thank you!!!
