Hello! I have a 6 week old chick that got stuck between a wall and a dog kennel. She got her legs caught in the bars. She is now lethargic and favoring one of her legs over the other. She shares a coop with her 5 siblings and 10 older chickens. Do you recommend I separate her? Not sure what to do. I also felt her leg bones and noticed no obvious breaks. She cried when I got to a certain spot, but I noticed nothing out of the ordinary.

I would just observe her for now. Maybe separate her from the other chick in a "hospital brooder" for a bit and see how she's doing in a day or so. You'll be better able to better judge the seriousness of her injury then. The most important thing immediately is to reduce stress.

No improvement. It has been two weeks and my poor little chick is limping terribly. Her injured leg is now trembling. Any thoughts?

I saw another post, that I can't find now, and they used a splint to prevent re-injury for 6 weeks and gave the chicken asprin for pain. Another site I found the woman put her chicken in the house in a plastic tub and bedding for 3 weeks to prevent her from moving around. My chicken just hurt her leg yesterday--I'm distraught over it especially because it is the friendliest most loving of all of them.
