Gidget is an adorable little keet maybe 2-3 months old. She was fine yesterday but now left leg appears to be popped out of joint?? Thats how it looks and feels anyway, joint is double size of right leg and foot is facing outwards. Since I don't have an xray machine I am scared to try to twist back for fear I may go wrong way and break something. ANY thoughts or ideas appreciated she is much loved and vet says "it's just a guinea, cat would enjoy it" Lord I can't stand that guy!!

Which joint? Hock or hip? Is she using the leg, or hopping around on her good leg?

If it's her hock (knee) joint... she may have slipped the tendon out of the groove that it naturally sits in and so now the tendon sits off to the side of the joint, causing that leg to turn out. It could be from an injury, a nutritional deficiency or... it could be a genetic defect that didn't rear it's ugly head until she reached a certain weight/size.

Sometimes a slipped tendon is fixable on young keets, but unfortunately at her age of 2-3 months, surgery is usually required to fix this issue... a vet would deepen the groove so the tendon no longer slips out, but obviously your vet isn't going to do this, so you would need to find an avian vet. And it won't be a cheap surgery

Most vets would just recommend euthanizing her because she's most likely in pain (that will most likely worsen for her) and she won't be able to keep up with the rest of the flock or effectively flee from predators any more. Plus the flock may not let her get enough to eat or they may start picking on her and try to run her off because they see her as the weak link in the flock now... etc.

If it's her hip joint and it really is dislocated, I couldn't even begin to tell you how to pop it back into place, a vet would need to deal with that.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

its the hock but feels more bone than tendon, I know what you are saying with tendon but also feels like well have you ever popped your elbow out? joint twice the size of other side feels totally different. You will think im nuts but OH WELL this just happened in minutes you see she is n a basket beside my chair in the living room because she can't seem to stay outa trouble outside with everybody else! she was fine 1 minute and not the next! There is a killdeer in rehab next to her and he has these spas attacks lol I think he startled her

Lol, no I've never popped my elbow or any other joint out of place... or seen it on any of my birds over the years so it's hard for me to picture what you are describing, lol. Definitely sounds like an injury tho.... and I have no advice on how to go about fixing her, sorry.

At least your little Guinea Hen has company while you figure out what to do about her leg, lol.
