So we just hatched 3 Polish chicks. Two are getting big and strong and fast, but one seems to have various leg issues. I think she has spraddle legs, so i fitted her with hobbles. But as you can see from the pic, even in the hobbles, her right foot turns out. Weird thing is, that's the foot she tries to stand on, and her other foot stays in the air (as in 2nd pic). So upon further inspection, i realized that the achilles was out of it's groove on that left foot. so i slid it back into place. i had to do that a few times and tonight if it's popped out again, i'll try to bandage it in place and immobilize her for the weekend. Is there anything else i should be doing? what about the turned foot? is there any hope of fixing that?
