Thank you. I will do thhatThe losened scales are from scaly leg mites, which can’t be seen without a microscope. Mites or lice on the body, will require a permethrin dust or spray to kill them. Lice are treated every 10 days at least twice to get the newly hatched eggs, and mites are treated every 7 days 2-3 times. Don’t forget to treat the coop and replace the bedding. Leg mites need to be smothered with vaseline, Nustock horse cream, or other oil rubbed into the scales. Here is a good article that shows what to look for:
