use ivomec pour on 3-4 drops per bantam 5-6 drops per large fowl and put vetrx or vicks vapor rub on the shanks only need to do this once on the legs the ivomec will do the rest.
You can use petroleum jelly and coat the legs and feet - that will smother them. Or you can use Ivomec (pour-on for cattle) - you use it like front-line. You could probably mix a small amount of sevin in with the petroleum jelly -
I think some people have also used Adams flea and tick spray.
With Ivomec you will need to throw away eggs for 10 days - and you can use the drops as mentioned or measure it out - .5 cc for large birds and .25 for small/bantam birds. Droped on the bare skin like front line for dogs.
I depends on what method you prefer ...
I've only dealt with NFM - not scaly leg - so can't offer what worked for me. maybe someone else will post with a method they used that worked well for them.
soak their feet in vetrx reall good! intervectmin is the BOMB! a must have with chickens!!! if the feet are really bad you'll have to soak them and get them off along with treatment
