Leg problems...

Hi,
My ducklings are 4 weeks old today.
I have 3 silver appeared and 2 blue swedish.
The blue Swedish are great, no problems with them at all. The silver appleyards are larger and are having leg issues. One of them has turned in feet. Like the actual feet instead of going straight turn in about halfway. Left foot is at 2 o'clock right foot is at 10 o'clock.

The other issue is that they'll walk or run and then immediately lay down. Like their legs hurt. They lay down often.

Any advice? I am already supplementing powdered niacin in their water. In addition my 4 geese that are the same age and HUGE are doing just fine...

I"d get them started on B-Complex. If you have Tractor Supply there they'll have it in the cow section and the bottles will look like this: (old and new label)

Yes, it won't hurt at all and usually fixes the leg problems

@BriannaMM once they are already having leg problems they need the extra boost of Liquid B complex 1 ml each till no sign of leg issues. But I'd get it Asap because you maybe able to correct it before it gets any worse.

Ok I will pick some up today. It just seems weird because I have been giving them this niacin since they were born at the recommendation of people to PREVENT the leg problems in the first place?!

Some just seem to need more for some reason.

I believe the heavier breeds like pekins and yours are more prone to this

Although I have seen even runners with shaky leg which is caused by niacin def too so all breeds can have the deficiency but heavier breeds do tend to have it more often.
