One of my hens buttercup has been having leg problems for the past 2 years. But recently it’s been getting worse and she has trouble standing. Her joint where her knee is swollen and in the past I gave her glucosamine. Is there anything else I could do to make her feel better? She keeps getting better and then all of a sudden worse.

Could you take some pictures of her legs and feet? Is it just the one knee that is swollen? Is she limping? Will she walk if you lift her up?

Sorry for the late reply. Here is a picture of her leg. She will walk a bit if you lift her up. Only
One knee is swollen it’s not red.

How high are your perches? She looks like a big girl and could be injuring herself junping down from her perch.
She doesn’t sleep in perches anymore I don’t have any they just sleep in their coop nest now. We used to have perches it could be possible she injured herself but shouldn’t it have healed by now?
