Sorry for your loss.Did her comb appear to be pecked or frostbitten? If you still have her body, I would keep it cold, not frozen, and send it off to your state vet tomorrow. Are the others looking normal? She did have some scaly leg mites, but I would worry about something contagious. Here is a link to your state vet lab to contact:

I see what went wrong, you put my name in as a tag. To tag me just put @ before my profile name in the description, post, etc.
I think the living conditions are pretty on the mark. Cold temps here. I used bagged chopped straw not bale. Normally just pine mulch. I deep litter with PDZ and or barn lime, wood ash, from out stoves, no accelerant, for their dustbath

A peck here and there, no frost bite. Very little frost bite on my rooster. I used Musher’s
