How do I help this chick learn to walk? It is not straightening one of his legs so when he tries to stand, he flips over onto his back. He has plenty of energy and eats and drinks if I help hold him upright. I do have vitamins in his water. I don't leave water in with him because I'm afraid he'll drown but I go back to work Monday and can't water him every 2 hours like I've been doing - what do I do about that? He's the only cockeral that hatched from my Rhodebar eggs so I don't want to lose him! I can take more pictures if needed.

Your chick may have a riboflavin B2 deficiency from the parents. Give it some B vitamins in the water or Polyvisol W/O iron 2-3 drops daily by mouth. Note: Poultry Nutridrench does not contain riboflavin. There are some other problems with chicks such as slipped tendon. You can check out some of these problems along with the chick chair (complete with feeder and waterer) pictures in this link: https://sites.google.com/a/larsencreek.com/chicken-orthopedics/

I'll get the new vitamins. It doesn't feel like a slipped tendon. I can move the leg in a full range of motion without any discomfort to him. There is no swelling or discoloration.
