Rest in Peace 1963-2021
My light brahma took over head honcho position from my NHR about 4 weeks ago. Well now at 9 weeks old, the NHR and one of BAs wants the top spot. So there has been intermittent daily ruckuses going on.
Today, I found a small scrap (like a skinned knee) on my Lt Brahma's leg and a cut on one of her toes. So, I cleaned her leg and foot with warm water, applied some peroxide to remove any dirt from her leg and foot, applied triple antibiotic ointment on her and put her to bed.
Everyone is fine and she is still "at large and in charge". The two places are not bleeding but are a little pink still. Should I clena the spots up a couple times a day, should I clean the same way or should I leave it alone and keep an eye on them?
I will take pics of the minor injuries in the morning to update this post but the worst is a spot about the size of a pencil eraser that looks like a skinned knee. The other is a spot that size of a pencil lead on her toe.
Opinions? Advice? Suggestions? Comments?
