Ok, I have been doing sooooooo much research after deciding to go into the chicken business. I haven't gotten the chicks yet since we aren't set up yet. I just came across the information about salmonella with chicken eggs, I know this is rare but I was considering selling fresh eggs to locals. Could I get in trouble if someone claimed to have salmonella because of our eggs? Ive been trying very hard to find information on this but am coming up short. I don't want to lose our land over a lawsuit. Is that possible? The chickens would be fenced/free rangish.
