Hi.

I promise I have looked all through the threads, done searches on the forum, done searches on Google Images, read blogs and while I think this is a hen, her crowing keeps me constantly doubting myself.

Can you help?

Thank you :)

If you click on the picture you'll get a larger version. The comb is floppy but it doesn't flop completely over. If you need a better comb picture, let me know. She will be 12 weeks old on Sunday.

Thank you again. I appreciate your time!

Mostly a myth, there is the very rare chance that a hen will crow, usually past the point of laying where female hormones aren't as strong.

Its a roo, its comb is too large for 12 weeks to be a pullet.

Got it. Thank you both very much.

A 12 week old bird that's crowing is male, sorry. Older, dominant hens can crow, usually due to a hormonal imbalance, but not young birds like this.
