leghorn quit laying months ago...and noticed a puffy rear end?

I have a leghorn about 3yrs old. She has been my best layer since day one however this past winter finally took a break for her molt. I don't think I have gotten an egg from her since at least Thanksgiving...probably before and have noticed a couple odd things I wondered about. First....there has been 2 to 3 occassions when I've witnessed her roosting for the night and will hear a large "plop" and find an egg dropped out of her with absolutely NO shell.....just the white & yolk. She has been spending time in the nest box but never has produced anything that I've seen (unless she lays these eggless eggs and eats them right away). Then I noticed tonight her vent area is a little dirty (probably normal) but is a bit poofy underneath. the large feathery area under her vent is larger than the my other hens and feels full (not hard like an egg is stuck or even lumpy like a cyst or tumor)...hard to explain...just light & gushy, but there is definately something enlarged back there. Any ideas of what is going on?

Check her for parasites, I had a hen stop laying with a poopy butt, and she was infested with lice.
