Turns out mine actually isn't a RIR leghorn cross at all.

That cross would be amazing producers.

Hi there - I just hatched a bunch of eggs from a White leghorn Rooster over my RIR hens and I cannot find, anywhere, a name for this cross - only the reverse - which someone said is called a Tetra Tint. Would it be the same hybrid name regardless of which sex is which breed? Does anyone know? I am running a chicken club at my school and would like to share the correct name for our hybrid chicks with my students. Many thanks!

Tetra tint!! You're so awesome thanks for the info! I'm trolling old there's because I don't like asking questions everyone's already chimed in on and I was about to post what the name of a rir rooster over white leghorn hens is called. I'm considering that move but I need to know what their best use is so I can be sure to raise them accordingly.
