Long story made short,
Got 12 chicks, shortly after neighbors got 8 laying leghorns to add to their already laying flock. 2 of them flew the coop, one must of heard my babies ended up in my pines by my coop/run a few weeks of coaxing she is now in the coop/run with my chicks loves the babies.. Thinking at one point she was a momma.. anyways, she is settled in.. Still isnt laying eggs, while others in her flock (at the neighbors have been laying all along). She was kinda thin, doing better now, shes been eating.. Chick starter/grower then Flock Raiser and I did buy layer mash..she wont eat it. Will snack on oyster shells not much. Tried fruit/veggies.. She will eat small amounts of select few, likes meal worms. Not sure of age, but is clearly of laying age. Not acting ill, eats, drinks, walks around fine. Agian loves the babies, will not go outside, in the coop etc until the do.. Its quite amusing to watch.
