Leghorns pullets not laying, but links are

This is in response to a closed forum you posted: You are correct... egg farmers did indeed make old-fashioned egg noodles using YOLKS ONLY - and the fortunate ones who were raised on these rich egg noodles... had angel food cake for dessert ;-) Here is the recipe you requested:

Old-Fashioned EggYolk Noodles
4 egg yolks
1 tsp salt
1 cup flour
1/2 eggshell of water

Separate eggs (reserve egg whites for angel food cake). Mix yolks, water, salt together. Add enough flour until dough is not sticky. On a floured tabletop roll out thin. Lightly flour top of dough. Roll into a log. Slice using sharp knife. Unroll each noodle and scatter onto baking sheet. Allow to rest/dry room air 2 hrs. (can freeze at this point). Individually drop noodles into a large pot of seasoned boiling broth (beef or chicken). Simmer until tender when cut with fork. (Cook time varies depending on noodle thickness) May double recipe, depending on how big your family is. ENJOY.
