Legorns?

My hubby and I got these chicks 2 weeks ago from TSC and we're told they're Leghorns. I think it's strange they're getting darker rather than lighter. Is this normal or are they not Leghorns?

They could be brown leghorns but they're not white leghorns. Whites start yellow and turn white.
It's more likely they didn't know what they were.
