Hello everyone,
I have a 7 week old pekin duckling. Her name is waddles... she is very very sweet. But I’ve noticed something about her.. her legs cross like an x, she shivers when it’s cooler out compared to the other ducklings. She started walking like she was tap dancing and now she is completely limp and will not walk. She had to use her neck/beak and wings to balance out. This literally is making me so sad. I’ve been posting constantly for help on Facebook in a group I’m in on there and I have yet to receive any... I have been giving niacin in the water. Trying to feed her tuna and peas which seems like she has no interest in... she’s more like pecking at her food... and when she does go for food or water it seems like she just freezes with her face in it... I’m so sad and heart broken about this. I recently integrated all the ducks together and have not with her as I am scared she will get trampled. She is not thriving like the rest. The most upbeat she looks is when I put her in the kiddie pool. She seems just fine... please help! I’m scared she will permanently be like this or will pass... I love her sweet little face I just can’t allow it...

Sound like a bad case of niacin deficiency. What are you feeding and have you be supplementing any form of niacin to their diet? Your right she needs immediate help or she will most likely not make it.

you need to get some B complex TSC carries it the info is in the link.
Please don't wait.
Water therapy is very good for her also just make sure she can get in and out safely. But once you get her started on the Liquid B Complex they usually make a good recovery. It will depend on how long she has been like this.

Hello Miss Lydia, I’m not sure if you will know the answer to this but I have 3 Call Duck Ducklings, and one of them has wide hips and one of his foots overlap the other. I don’t know what to do so hopefully you can help me, REPLY ASAP.
