I have a pullet about 15 weeks old who first started walking on hocks, then got curly toes now both legs are straight up by her face. I have tried vitamins, I have changed food, I brought her inside. Before I cull her, does anyone have any other ideas? Is it mareks? I wish I could provide photo. Sorry. Just picture her flat on stomach, feet up by face.

How long has she been sick? Is there any chance she got some bits of wet/moldy food? It presents very much like Marek's and might have happened if she's lower in the pecking order.

I'd try giving her polyvisol without iron (infant vitamins) before putting her down - I've read that vitamin deficiencies (riboflavin & b-vitamins?) can cause curled toes and walking on their hocks.

She is on polyvisol. Today will be day three of vitamins.

She has been sick for about a 5 days. She was on hocks for a few days, 2 days completely down.

The polyvisol has riboflavin, but maybe not enough. Does anyone know what milk products chickens will eat/drink?

I just checked the label on my yogurt - pretty high in riboflavin. Even though my chickens love shredded cheese, I didn't see any riboflavin listed on the package. You don't want to give her plain milk because it's hard for them digest. Yogurt would be great for her to have right now. You're right, the polyvisol does have riboflavin too - maybe she needs extra to correct the problem?
