Legs turning a red color! Help please!

What a pretty boy! He definitely looks like a cockerel. Are you just full up on roosters or are there laws where you are? Depending on which it is, it might be easier to find him a home if you have to; he looks like a friendly one.

LOL

Can you have roosters where you live?

Not picking on you or anything, but the pen you have him in is probably going to be too low for him very soon if he wants to stand upright. He will get much taller so that's something to think about.

That’s just their tunnel I built them so they can explore the yard! They have a large run area around their coop.

Oh no. :( Well, I've heard No-Crow Collars work pretty well, if you can either hide him from neighbors or they won't tell if you want to keep him.

I wish I would have tried a collar on my first boy. He was the sweetest chicken and so beautiful! Hurt my heart to see him go. The women who I bought this chicken from said if it turned out to be a rooster I could swap for another so I’ll probably just do that!

Awe, I'm sorry - I bet he's roaming with some hens now and making tons of noise now, though! Hope it goes well for you with the swap; is it a swap for a similar-aged chicken or a chick?
