Just curious. It seems like my 7 chickens are producing way way less Cecal poop in the Winter months. During Summer there was dollops of chocolate pudding everywhere, in the yard, on the sidewalk, on the coop floor.

Now, I hardly every find any. Find plenty of normal poop, but very little cecal poop.

Chickens have pellets 24/7. They free range a half-acre and have all the green Winter wheat grass they can eat and they're constantly scratching around in the leaves for morsels.

Anybody else notice a drop in poop levels or is it just me?

It might be because of proportionally more regular poop. Fecal poop quantity, may or may not change. I have not seen anything about impacts of season / temperature on fecal poop production. It is time to study it to control "IMO" taken over the state of knowledge on the subject.
