Last year I bought a Gypsy Gripper and I love it. It allows me to cut the full length of my ruler without having to reposition my hands, and of course, it protects me from accidentally cutting off one of my fingers, LOL.
The Gypsy Grippers are rather pricey, ranging from 19.99 upwards.
If you want to save a few bucks, a similar gripper is available at Fry's Electronics or at Bed Bath and Beyond for only $12.99. It can probably also be found at discount stores that carry "As Seen On TV" type items.
