It turns out I’ll be getting my guineas before my chickens. Working on coop design now. Let’s see your guinea coops! I’d love to go the large hoop coop route I saw while browsing but unfortunately I need to be frugal with this coop. Any and all inspiration appreciated! Thank you

I’m considering an a-frame coop. Just curious if that would be smart or not? I know they enjoy high roosting bars so the amount of space for the roost would be very little considering lower section.

I think you will have better luck finding coop designs in the Coop & Run - Design, Construction, & Maintenance forum. Here are a few threads to check out.

Thanks for your help! I’ve been researching chicken coops for the past year so I’m pretty set on the basics. The main difference I’ve noticed would be higher roosting bars and need for height of coop. I’m trying to do it once and do it right the first time!

I built mine as an 8'x12' with 8' walls. The ceiling joists are open so the guineas use them as their roosts.
Guinea coop is on left.
