P I'm going to get a Rooster. There are places the Rooster is outlawed, then there are places they are not, so I'm going to get a Rooster and hope no one complains about the crowing.

I am not allowed roosters either where I live. I 'snuck' one in anyway. What I do is about the time they would be settling down for the night is bring him indoors (in a wire dog crate). I let him back out in the mornings after most of the neighbors have gone to work (I work nights, so he goes out when I get home). My neighbors know I have him because he crows periodically during the day, but because he isn't waking the neighborhood at 5 am, no one seems to mind him. I've even been complimented on his looks. (bribes of fresh eggs are always a good thing, too) Ordinances are usually only enforced if someone complains, so I live by the 'CYA' rules (Cover your a**) :)
