So I have a polish chick that came with 3 others and it's not doing very well. I've noticed from week 2 that it has a slight tilted head but overall actively eating, drinking and foraging. I read that it could be a sign of wry neck but I believe it might be from a neck injury rather than vitamin deficiency. I did give it a boost of extra vitamins mixed with egg yolk and syringe fed it, I've also noticed that its always eating but its crop doesnt seem full when I go to check on them. I had to separate it from the others with another chick to keep it company. Still moving around however, I may be just over worrying but I did not expect this breed to have such a vulnerable skull.

Welcome To BYC

Are you providing her with supplemental heat like a heat plate or heat lamp? What is the temperature of the brooder on the warm side and cold side?

What are you feeding? You mention she seems to always be eating, but you don't feel the crop filling.
Try offering some wet mushy feed to see if she eats a little better and you can feel the crop filling up.

If she's holding her head a bit sideways and you suspect trauma, I'd treat for Wry Neck.

Wry Neck is the name of a Symptom. A few common causes of this Symptom are nutritional, trauma to the head/neck, disease like Marek's and/or genetics.
I'd give her 400IU Vitamin E and 1/4tablet B-Complex orally daily along with a little egg for the uptake of E. See that she's drinking well and eating.

Example of E and B-Complex, you can find these at store like Walmart, CVS or the grocery.

Thanks for the response. I have a 100w heat lamp thats 20cm above the bottom of the brooder. However it is currently summer where I am (Australia) so they rarely go under it on hot days.
I just wet some chick starter for them and they immediately ate, but she seems a little less active today.
I'll pop by the chemist to get the supplements to treat her.
I've been syringe feeding her wet feed mixed with egg yolk and vitamins but I will switch ot out for the vit E and B!
Hopefully she perks up in a few days
