I decided to go ahead with the penicillin. Started it Wed night. Yesterday, she seemed a tad perkier. Today, we did have to take her off roost as I think she didn't feel up to jumping down herself. She took her shot in stride, then ate breakfast well. She was outside with the others jockeying for position when I took goodies out this afternoon! Her tummy's still puffy, but there's definitely life back in her eyes. She didn't get on roost this evening, but I was highly surprised she was on roost last night, so I don't really consider that a set-back.
