My bunny is almost a year old and since yesterday he has been acting strange, not his usual self. He usually jumps up and greets me as I open his cage and just hops around his cage. He doesn't move at all, well a twitch every now and then but he's very limp just lays there. He will not eat and I have to feed him with a syringe. I took him to the vet and the vet said he was lethargic and his temperature was far below average. He's wrapped up in a blanket right now and I was just wondering if there is anything I do to help him.
I've noticed that since I've given him the Baytril that the vet prescribed he has been worse.
He's also making whistling noises when he breathes and has a crusty nose.

Is he indoors? I would put a heating pad on LOW under 1/2 his space so he can be there if needed. Did the vet give any more info? Does the bunny have normal gut sounds (gurgle noises are good)? If you put your ear to bunny's tummy, you should hear something. If no noise, yogurt with active cultures and FRESH pineapple juice helps digestion a lot. you can slowly drip some into it's mouth with a dropper - careful not to give too much at one time to prevent choking or inhaling the stuff into it's lungs (aspiration). I hope he'll be OK

Is your vet actually a rabbit vet? It sounds like he needs an xray to see what is going on and some bloodwork. Sounds like there could be a blockage or he has GI stasis.

His bacteria in his gut are likely all dead due to the Batril... you need to get him on probotic for rabbit (no don't know any off the top of my head) I have a vet just for may rabbits- when they stop eating its really bad, in fact you do not remove food before surgery for rabbits

Unfortunately he passed away. He started hazing spazams and I picked him up to comfort him and he urinated and then died.
I feel like calling the vet and yelling at him because he gave both my bunnies the same medicine even though they had completely different issues
One bunny has head tilt and the other was lethargic.
Will baytrill even help my bunny with the head tilt?

So sorry he didn't make it. At least you got to comfort him as he passed

.
The only way Baytril would help with a head tilt would be if the cause was bacterial. Did the vet check his wbc (white bloodcell count) or do any bloodwork at all? Sounds like bunnies are a little out of this vet's expertice.
