I have an Americano chick that is almost fully feathered. Check on her this AM. And she was lethargic and sleeping. Feathers puffed. Not reacting to anything. She seems to have a bubble on her chest. I can feel it Any ideas. She is in with five others and another I thought I felt small bubble on chest

She is sleeping you can’t see the lump. It feels like a blister. Fluid inside I couldn’t post video but she seems to be breathing Ok. They others are in the corner. She was laying with them earlier

How old is she? Can you get her drinking some fluids? What do her poops look like? Is the bubble her crop?
I haven’t seen her poop. She is about 4-5 weeks. Not fully feathered yes bubble in her crop. I just checked on her she opened her eyes briefly stood up. She can’t seem to stay awake she was drinking today a little and I have been trying to get fluid into her. The bubble is about the size of a nickel and filled with fluid. I tried massaging gently.

Sounds like my Junie. When she was about two weeks old, she was acting lethargic and not really eating. I inspected her and discovered her crop was filled with air/gasses (I later surmised she had some sort of blockage that was causing a yeast infection/sour crop).

I separated her from her siblings and gave her only water with electrolytes and fed her NutriDrench. I would massage the air bubbles out if her crop several times a day. I’d also give her olive oil (one eyedropper full twice a day to help work the blockage free). I was also up multiple times at night to massage the air out.

I even gave her some Monistat cream (to help battle the yeast infection since I thought the blockage was causing some sour crop issues. I would put a tiny bit on my finger - like 1/8 the size of my pinkie nail - and swipe it in her mouth).
When her crop didn’t balloon up so quick or so often, I started feeding her chick grit and gradually worked in scrambled/hard boiled eggs.

She recovered in about a week, though she was really small. Now she’s a healthy hen who doesn’t respect boundaries because her Mama Chicken gave her so much one on one attention when she was little …

Not sure if this is what’s going on with your little bean, but she might have eaten something that didn’t go through properly (I think my Junie ate a wood shaving).

Hope you figure out what’s wrong soon and your baby feels better!

Thank you I started massaging her last night she drank water on her own this morning but still sleeping Feathers not as puffed out. While messaging her I turned her on her side and a little liquid came out. Just a drop

It isn’t common for babies to have sour crop, but if she does, then maybe just try treating her for that if she doesn’t show improvement, but at a much smaller dosage. Giving apple cider vinegar and withholding starchy foods (so scrambled/hardboiled eggs). Keep a lookout for poop (poop is a good sign - means things are moving through). And NutriDrench is always good if she can’t eat solid food. Good luck!
