Lethargic chicken, need advice

Went back out to take a picture of her standing. Of course, now she's acting normal... I'll try to get a pic the next time I catch her doing it.

I do agree with @DwayneNLiz if you see no improvement and she is lethargic, fluffed up, has loose stool with mucous or you see blood, has no appetite, then treating with Corid won't hurt.

Could be that she is at point of lay and feels a bit off, but since you mention small, dry vent, then she most likely is not ready - usually the when they are at this stage, it may be small, but it will look moist.

Keep watch on her and see that she is drinking and eating well, that no one is keeping her from food - that can happen as well.

Well, been periodically checking on her since my last update and she's acting perfectly normal. Been eating, drinking, and pacing back and forth like she wants back in with the rest of the flock. Normal posture and otherwise fine. All the stools in her pen look normal too.

I don't know. Maybe she just woke up on the wrong side of the roost this morning...

If she keeps acting like this I think I'm going to put her back in with the others this evening and just keep an eye on her.

A little update on the lethargic easter egger... Ever since I went back to try to get a picture of her posture that afternoon, she has acted perfectly normal. Don't know what the problem was that morning but she got over it and is doing fine.
