My fiance and I recently got these chickens when we bought our house six months ago. The previous home owners had them and asked if we'd like to keep them, so I don't know how old they are and am still learning about their care. The flock has been dealing with a mild case of dry pox. Everyone has seemed to be doing fine, just a few spots here and there. Everything I read said it should pass on its own. One of our girls has decreased egg production. Her eggs have been pretty small and she didn't lay yesterday. I also noticed yesterday she was standing with her eyes closed and sometimes even resting on the ground with her eyes closed. This is unlike her as she's usually very energetic. She currently doesn't have lesions (maybe a spot or two on her feet.) She is still eating and drinking and her poops look normal. I've currently got her quarantined in the run with food, water with hen helper for electrolytes, and some meal worm treats mixed with red pepper flakes. She's been eating and drinking, but still here and there closes her eyes and seems more subdued. I felt her croo like i read online and as far as I can tell it feels fine. What should I do for her? Is this just a symptom of fowl pox? I should note the flock started showing lesions about 3 weeks ago which was around the same time her eggs started getting small. I want to help her in case she's in pain. What should I do?
