Lethargic, diarrhea... Coccidia? Something else?

I have a chicken who is lethargic and has diarrhea. Her crop feels bloated. She won't eat or drink. At this point I'm suspecting a sour crop. If it's not sour crop, let's get some other ideas too. I'm not smelling anything sour from her and hubby says her crop felt just like the other chickens' crops. (I'll be double checking this in the morning to see what an empty crop feels like.)

Treatment recommendations?

Right now I've got her in the house. We're giving her electrolytes with a syringe.

She's not eating or drinking on her own at all. We've been forcing the electrolytes. She hasn't pooped since she's been inside at around 7:00 this evening. The poop in the picture is the last know at about 5:00.

I do know that she laid an egg today, so hopefully that rules out reproductive issues.

If you imagine a full crop as a full water balloon, an empty one basically feels like a deflated water balloon. Instead of feeling the digested food you will be able to feel the breast bone easily. Just for reference

Monitor her closely. If her poop has blood in it, it’s probably coccidiosis and you’ll want to get some corid to treat her with. Keep trying to get her to drink her electrolyte water. Offer moistened food with a bit of hard boiled yolk in it to her.

I hope she gets better!

@TheYLWFlock , thank you! No blood in her poop. It looks fairly normal this morning. Unfortunately her crop is still full and squishy. She won't eat or drink on her own. So looks like I'm gonna have to do some force feeding...

@CSAchook, thank you for the article! This is just what I needed. Following the steps in there in hopes she'll pull through.

Definitely sour crop. Her crop is still full and squishy this morning.

@CSAchook We tried several times making her thow up, but nothing came out. I got some of the cinnamon mixture mentioned in the article down her. Now she's laying down and has very labored breathing. I'm at a loss for what to do at this point.
