How often should i put her in the bath. Im going to try calcium also she is a bantam should i give her less. Also going to feel around in side when i have help im not sure my daughter could help

It could be ascites or peritonitis. Can you take her to a vet?

I dont know of a vet in our area that does chickens

• Confirm that there is an egg before you give calcium or another bath.
• Give her a heat source that she can move away from.

Sent you a PM with my number... Call and I can tell you how to give fluids. Giving them with just a syringe if more dangerous and very stressful to the bird.

It will take way too long to get enough into her that way and the stress of doing it could kill her. I have one that I'm tubing right now, he's bigger, so he gets a couple hundred cc's a day.

FWIW, I just gave the rooster 130cc's of pedialyte is less than 3 minutes. That time included getting up from the computer, getting the syringe and fluids, giving fluids and sitting back down here.

If I had to guess, I would say that the hen weighs between 500 and 1000 grams, so if she were mine, and her crop was empty, I would give 5cc's, wait for the crop to clear and give some more. How much one gives depends on how big the bird is, how empty the crop is and how sick the bird is. It seems the sicker they are, the more likely they are to vomit.

This my Daisy today she ate some more yogurt and devoured a scrambled egg. She seems a bit perkier I think her crop felt hard i am pulling her pellets for a couple hours how long should it take to empty?
