Good Morning Guys and Gals,

We have inherited a goose, which I have grown rather fond of. As of the last few days he's been a bit slow and less talkative than usual. I've been reading up and I see that worms can be a concern, however, being an anxious person, I realized that we have also recently poisoned grass trouble areas near the pond.

My question is, should we be concerned that the grass poison is the issue (or a contributing factor)? Or am I being paranoid? The goose and ducks are free-roaming, we have a pen, but only a few ducks use the house, most stay in the pond and on the floating dock we have for them.

All of our ducks are fine, as well as we've gained a flock of diving birds that hang around the pond, only the goose is behaving strangely.

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. Last night he was still moving slow, but was definitely more talkative, so I am hopeful we are getting it righted. Just want to make sure I'm doing everything to keep Snow out from under the weather.

Holy crud, that is definitely helpful. I'm going to use that list and let you all know how it goes. We purchased a de-wormer, and he was looking more peppy yesterday evening, but I'm still a worry wart. The only good (if you can call it that) that has occurred with this is he actually lets me pet him more than usual.

An update, I got home to a completely different goose. He was following us around, and honking up a storm. I'm pretty certain now, that it was the toxins. I'm keeping an eye on him, as well as revamping our grass care near the pond (a.k.a. no more chemicals). But have printed and kept the list of flushes handy as well as de-wormer in case he should relapse/or have any other issues.

Thank you all again for the advice.
