Animal did not seem sick this morning. Came home and is not eating, drinking, and does not present its normal fear of being picked up. Brought it in for the time being. I am being told by wife that separating a chicken from the flock is not a good thing. If it is dying, not sure what more harm can be done. Bird is about 4 and half months old. None of the other animals seem ill. I am very concerned.

Welcome To BYC

Do you have photos of her?
What's her crop like?
Is she pooping?

Look her over for any signs of injury, lice/mites.
Keep her relatively warm and see if she will take drops of fluid. Electrolytes or sugar water would be good to give for a few hours.

Sometimes it's necessary to bring in or separate out a bird that is not well so you can monitor them, administer care and protect them.

Pooping = yes. Crop seems fine but not real sure how to check. I do not know how to post pictures. I can take them. Brought her in for tonight and am in using restroom. She seems to possibly be doing better. Can't tell for sure. Still hasn't drank or eaten

It seems to at least be up, now. So, some change

No discharge from eyes or nose. No signs of wheezing or breathing issues. Poop isn't some odd color, and looks normal compared to previous droppings I have seen from birds. Other than just no interest in eating. I cannot see anything wrong......

UPDATE:

Don't know what I did right. Fowl seems much better. Tried messaging his crop, though it didn't seem enlarged or swollen. Kept him in the house overnight in a box. In the morning while I took my morning shower to get ready for work. I messaged and cleaned his little butticuss while running water over his backside. Whether he was blocked, or the embarrassment of being harassed in the shower... It looked like he gave a dump in the box when I put him down. I took him to the cage to feed the other chicken for morning breakfast. He started coo'ing. In response to the other birds who were also coo'ing.More or less told him, "Going to get better or not", and decided to take the chance and let it go in the pen and took the chance. Feed them and went to work. Came home hoping for the best and thankfully, he is up and running. Eating and enjoyed the treat of pumpkin guts from the pumpkin we made a jack I lantern out if with the granddaughter the other night. Here's hoping all continues to progress favorably.
