LETHARGIC Hen; White, Liquidy Poop; Eating But...

UPDATE : I set her down to fix her makeshift home and when I come back inside to retrieve her, she has fallen over to the side with one leg outstretched. About 20 minutes ago, I gave her scrambled eggs and apples and when she was hurrying towards me, she tipped over with one wing outstretched. Is this a sign of anything?

I will try massaging her crop now.

UPDATE : Tried massaging her crop after feeding her 2 tsps of coconut oil. It drained! Not completely, it seems. What does an empty crop feel like? If her crop was full and hard, does this mean she had an impacted crop? If so, what are my next steps?

An empty crop feels like nothing—it is flat and hard to feel like an empty balloon. Her position in post 12 sounds a bit neurological, as Mareks disease can appear. Other problems, such as a mass or infection pressing on a nerve, could possibly cause this. Have you added any new birds to your flock in recent months?

No. Same 4 hens since nearly three years ago. If all of her food does not want to come out, should I let her rest and try again in the morning? What's left is a small mass of food, it appears.

Your post was immensely helpful. Thank you dearly. Her butt smells vinegary/spoiled. Could be from the diarrhea?

I might try to get a little fluids into her before time for her to sleep, but then yes, I would let her rest and see what the crop feels like in the morning before she's had anything to eat/drink.
I do agree, the way she's leaning she's not doing too well. It's hard to know sometimes what's going on.
